Monthly Self Care Favorites, September Edition

mtm monthly self care favorites

I always see people on their blogs have a monthly “thing” that they do.

Monthly Q&A

Monthly meals

Monthly schedules etc etc.

I always thought it was so cool but never really felt I had anything that I could share with you monthly.  And then I realized I totally have things I could share!

My monthly self care favorites!

I get asked so many times on social media what’s my favorite Jade Roller, or how I fit my nap time in my schedule (yes I said MY nap time here).  So, here we go! My monthly self care favorites.

Now, if you’ve been following me for a while, then you’ll know my self care favorites are not going to be a ton of skin care products or bubble bath soaps (though it might definitely include those too!).  But, instead it will be ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that gives me the feeling of me caring for myself.

I will be doing a monthly self care favorites round up the last Friday of every month and it will include everything from products, to clothes, to even around the house activities.

So without further ado, here’s September’s Self Care Favorites:

Rose Quartz Facial Roller

Let’s start with this since you may have seen me use it so often in my stories on Instagram.  This fabulous roller is from Sdara and it is my absolute favorite.  I’ve used others before however none have left my skin feeling quite as refreshed as this one. A question i’ve gotten often is what exactly is this for.  You can do some more research here, but in short it’s meant to tighten and firm the skin in order to keep your skin looking younger… and well firmer. You can grab one here if you want to try it out!

My Mama Program Cup

Okay yes, shameless plug here, but it’s such a different feeling when you actively use something that’s YOURS.  This simple cup not only allows me to drink the most heavenly of juices aka wine, but every time I see the cup it puts me right back to a mama program event and reminds me how important my self-care is.  Even on the days I want to do absolutely nothing but have a glass of wine, I’m reminded that that is indeed a form of self care.  Grab yours here!

Carols’ Daughter Curl Defining Butter

Okay, so I have been trying to find the perfect product for my knot outs in my hair and I have been struggling.  As much as I love Mielle products, their twisting custard just wasn’t getting the job done.  My mom had this Carol’s Daughter butter in her bathroom and the first time I tried it I was in love.  I still feel the same.  You can grab that here.

iOS 14 Update

I did a review on this in my stories, but honestly, this update is the best.  I have my calendar on my face screen now and I haven’t missed an appointment since.  This is huge for me. I have things I dislike about it, but overall it’s’ been a win.  The aesthetics that this provides makes me feel like I have a brand new phone just from an update.  Apple really outdid themselves on this one. You can get the update too with enough phone space and going into the general settings and updates section on your phone.

Fall Weather

It’s taken me a while to come around to this one but the weather has been too perfect this week not to love.  I always love how right before it’s FULLY fall, the weather is like the perfect crisp.  Cold enough for long sleeves but also warm enough you don’t need a jacket. Let’s just say the daily walks have been a favorite too lately.

Can’t wait to share more monthly self care favorites with you next month!  Have a question about something you’ve seen me use that you’d like me to include in a round up?  Follow along on Instagram and the last Monday of the month I’ll put up a question box!

What have been a few of your favorite things this month?  Comment below and let me know!

Take care of you too mama,

Aysia B.

These tips may seem pretty obvious, but they helped me to focus more on my health, thanks! Daisey Vernon Cinderella
